Vantrue f1 motorcam mounted. Found a nice spot under the beak and tail light. Cables concealed and remote control installed on handlebars. Central unit is located under the passenger seat. The tool set no longer fits there, but it goes in the suitcase. Can be used as a cleaning cloth for the cameras

Very pleased with the wide options and settings and operation of the camera. Set and forget and that's what I wanted. And 4k front or 2k front and 1080p rear

So the good first. There is a lot to like on this system. The install is much easier than their main competitor (Innov K7) with only 3 wires to run instead of 5 and a better solution for the camera mounts. Video quality is excellent and very stable front and rear. I also appreciated the OTA Firmware update via the app, vs taking my seat off and pulling the SD card to put it in an adapter then into my PC and load it with new firmware (like the Innov).

Now the bad though. Initially my only real gripe was the tiny screws in the SD slot, because I kept dropping the things. Not a fan of that at all and wish they had a different solution for the SD card port. (Innov's press in rubber slot cover is one of the few things that was better than the Vantrue). The major issue now though, is I've had it 3 days, all connections are solid and I've had no weather to cause any concerns of water intrusion, but all audio has stopped working. Audio on recorded videos and audio prompts from the remote as well. I have been through all the app settings, pages of trouble shooting and online searches for possible causes, and tried most of everything to include resetting the camera and clearing app cache, all to no avail. I'm left down to disassembling the bike and pulling the SD card and trying a manual re-install of the firmware, or an RMA for a new remote for the system. Not a great look on a brand new system that started with so much promise. *sigh*

Ho acquistato la Vantrue F1 per montarla sulla mia moto, seguendo tutte le indicazioni ufficiali: scheda microSD da 256GB tra quelle consigliate dal produttore, formattazione periodica dal dispositivo, firmware aggiornato. Nonostante questo, dopo poche ore di registrazione la spia verde smette di lampeggiare e la registrazione si interrompe. Inizialmente un riavvio risolveva temporaneamente il problema, ma dopo un po' anche questo smette di funzionare e l'unica soluzione è formattare completamente la scheda, perdendo tutte le registrazioni precedenti. Analizzando la scheda da PC ho trovato file video da 0KB, segno che la scrittura si interrompe nel momento stesso in cui inizia un nuovo file. Ho escluso memoria piena, surriscaldamento e spegnimento non pulito (la camera chiude correttamente prima di spegnersi). Il problema sembra quindi legato a un difetto di gestione della scrittura su SD da parte del dispositivo, non risolto nemmeno seguendo scrupolosamente le indicazioni del produttore. Per una dashcam, il cui unico scopo è registrare in modo affidabile, questo è un difetto grave e inaccettabile. Sconsiglio l'acquisto a chi cerca un dispositivo affidabile per la sicurezza in moto. Due to intermittent "Stop Recording" issues the Vantrue F1 has become unreliable and not trustworthy to provide needed footage should I be involved in an incident on the road. After doing some research on the internet and forums, I have found this is a known issue Vantrue is highly reluctant to admit to and rectify. Just like the other F1 users I am afflicted with the solid green light, which means the unit has stopped recording. I have exhausted all diagnostics options as I have ruled out bad memory cards, overheating, loose connections, and user error. I contacted Vantrue Support on the 15th of April and they recommend that I disconnect rear camera and do a factory reset and format the memory card. I did and that tamed the issue, but it did NOT cure the problem. Yes, I have the latest firmware installed. I was told if the problem persists they would provide me with a new remote control, which they haven't. They refused to answer any e-mails I have sent. I even offered to pay for the remote control multiple times as my F1 is out of warranty since I bought it December 8, 2023. Frankly, there's no excuse for this behavior as I bought their product in good faith and expect reasonable service even if I have to pay for it. Their actions lead me to believe that I bought a high priced disposable throwaway dashcam that I won't be able to buy replacement parts if something gets lost or damaged. I will no longer recommend and give positive reviews of Vantrue products to fellow riders in our Goldwing group and the internet forums I belong to.

I just bought a brand new falcon 1 and on my first ride somthing broke the lens on my front Camera i truely thought they would last alot longer than that..
