Front Cam: Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 + HDR

The front camera is powered by Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 8M CMOS sensor that can record up-to 4K(3840x2160) video resolution capturing the smallest details. Plus the unique High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology which automatically balance exposure and light/dark spots, it captures much more details in ultra-low light during night time and even in the dark road.

Cabin Cam: 4 IR LED Lights + HDR

The front cabin camera utilizes 4 infrared LED lights, which automatically works once it detects low light in car cabin and presents clear black & white image recordings.

Rear Cam: HDR

The rear camera uses 2MP SONY Starvis Night Vision sensors and with HDR multi-exposure technology, which captures maximum image detail in high contrast scenes, so the camera can capture the license plate of cars behind clearly even with their headlights on full beams.

CPL Filter (Optional)

CPL filter reduces reflections and glare from glass, metal, or shiny surfaces, which can enhance the image quality, in the same way as that polarized sunglasses do. (CPL sold separately).

Wireless Remote Controller (Optional)

The wireless remote controller has two buttons on the pannel, one is to turn on/off voice recording, and the other is to take photo and lock the current video. Mount the controller to a place near your hand and make the control easier and safer.

Buffered Motion Detection

In the 10s pre-recording buffered Motion Detection mode, once any motion around the car is detected, all 3 cameras will automatically start recording and will save the video for 10 seconds before and 30 seconds after the event occurs. With the Customizing Motion Detection Area setting, you can draw your own custom Motion Zones for your camera, so your device can focus on the specific areas that are most important to you.

Collision Detection

This parking mode records video when an impact occurs to the parked car.

Low Bitrates Recording

The dash cam will enter parking mode if it doesn't detect any movement in 5 mins and will keep recording at 720P 15FPS. The length of each clips will be the same with loop recording setting.

Low Frame Rate Recording

This parking mode allows your dashcam to continuously record at 1FPS (one frame per second). Videos are played back at 30FPS. Each 1-minute Time lapse Parking Mode video covers a real-time period of 30 minutes. Please note: camera won’t record sound in this mode.

Easy Installation with the Magnetic Mount

The cameras are attached to the windshield by 3M adhesive mount. And the front camera's mount features an innovative magnetic structure design that allows you to easily remove the front dash cam whenever you want without having to remove the entire mount.

Universal Ball Joint Design

The mount features a universal ball joint, allowing for unrestricted adjustment of the dash cam to any angle desired.

GPS Logger

Outstanding Dash Camera System and with Equally Outstanding Customer Service

After much research, I decided to purchase the Vantrue N4 Pro Dashcam System. I found that, from the packaging to the build quality of the unit itself to the instructions to the setup using the well-designed app to the quality of the video footage, it is easy to see this company produces excellent and well-thought through products. Installation was easy and with three different ways to power the unit, I chose to use the OBDII connector plug, which is perfect. The 20ft. cable to attach the rear camera was not long enough for my full sized SUV so I contacted Vantrue Customer Service. I was surprised to receive such a prompt reply (same day!) and when told about my plight, Gloria volunteered to contact a supplier and have a 29.5 ft. cable shipped to me at no cost. Now THAT is customer service! I like my unit and experience so much that I will be buying another N4 Pro for my other SUV. Thank you to Gloria and her colleagues for making my first excursion into the world of dashcam enjoyable and successful!

Unsure if this was the right selection

After installing and using this item, there are a lot of things I like. The recordings are very clear and I like the ease of installation.

I don't like the sensitivity of the camara. Every time I hit a small bump, a photo is captured. I changed all the settings from one extreme to ther other (1-5) but it makes no difference.

I purchased a memory card from another vendor with the exact make and model of what Vantrue wanted to sell. I keep getting a slow card message. I'm not sure why. The card shouldn't make a difference although I'm sure Vantrue is going to say I didn't buy their card.

The last issue is the Unit gets very hot. I have to run the defroster on cool to keep it cool. I'm worried that the heat will do some damage if I don't keep it cool

Nice dashcam

It was tedious to install at home as I purchased the 3 channel dashcam. But the installation service at New York made it easy for me. Till now, it works great as it is supposed to be, no complaints!

Camera keep rolling down

The mount is not strong enough to hold the camera. Camera keep falling down particularly on the warm days.

Great replacement

I had a BlackVue590x for awhile and had nothing but issues. I read reviews on Vantrue dashcam and decided to try it. Have not been disappointed at all. Easy to use and a better picture than Blackvue.
