Vserion: VTN1Pro.V17

1. Fixed some bugs.

How to update the N1 Pro dash cam?

Please follow the Steps below to upgrade your device:

1.Download the ZIP file on your PC and unzip the file;
2.Format you microSD card on the camera, and then connect the camera to the computer through the USB port on the camera. Copy all 3 firmware files (N1PRO.bin, N1PRO-B.bin, N1PRO-C.bin) to the microSD card, then unplug the camera from the computer

Note: the firmware file (in .bin format) could not be recognized by computer, it could just be recognized by the dash cam, so don’t try to open it on PC, just copy it to the card.

3.Plug the camera to a power charger (not computer)
4.Then the camera will auto upgrade, and it will take about 30 secs to 1 min, during this time, the camera will not turn on and will not respond to any button or operation;
5.Once the dash cam upgraded successfully, it will turn on and work.
6.Please check the version of your device now (go to the System Setup menu and select System info) and see if it is the same as the website show. If it is, then the camera has been upgraded successfully.
7.Format you microSD card on the camera again when the update has been completed, or the camera will upgrade itself everytime when it detects the firmware file in the card.

Why can't the Vantrue dash cam record videos in loops of 1 hour or longer?

The reason why Vantrue dash cam cannot record and save videos longer than one hour is due to the limitations of the memory card format. Most dash cams use memory cards formatted with FAT32, which can only support a maximum file size of 4GB. Videos longer than half an hour often exceed this size limit, preventing the dash cam from saving them as a single file.

What SD Card do we recommend?

We only recommend Vantrue, Samsung Endurance and Sandisk High Endurance/Max Endurance Card. To extend the life of your card, we advise to format your SD card every 3-4 weeks for regular everyday users and 2-3 weeks for heavy users to free up space on your memory card for new recordings.

Note: Samsung EVO Plus and PRO Plus cards are NOT recommended for use with Vantrue dash cam.

What to do if the dash cam shows "Card Error" or "Slow Card"

1. Format the SD card and update the dash cam to the latest firmware version.

2. Try a new recommended card.

3. If you have tried the above steps and the issue hasn't been resolved, please contact our support team via support@vantrue.net.

Why is the GPS not working on my dash cam?

1. Please make sure your dash cam is working with a GPS mount.

2. Please make sure your dash cam has been updated to the latest firmware version and reset to default settings.

3. Please go to the GPS settings and ensure you have turned on the GPS watermark on the dash cam.

4. Make sure the dash cam is in an open area, such as a spacious parking lot, to avoid obstruction by tall buildings, trees, and other obstacles that might interfere with GPS signal reception.

5. If you have tried the above steps and the issue hasn't been resolved, please contact our support team via support@vantrue.net.

Why does the playback video have sound but no picture?

1. Please check if the video can be played back on the dash cam normally.

2. Please try to play back the video using the Vantrue player. You can download the Vantrue player from this link: https://www.vantrue.net/support/player

Accordion itemWhat to do if my dash cam turns itself on and off repeatedly?

3. Try a different charging cable.

4. Take out the SD card from the dash cam and check if the dash cam works well.

5. If the dash cam has a rear camera, unplug the rear camera and check if the dash cam works well.

What to do if the suction cup mount frequently falls off?

When installing the mount, ensure it is placed on a flat surface of the windshield, avoiding areas with black dots. Clean the windshield thoroughly before installation, and make sure the suction cup is free of dust.

 If the suction cup continues to fall off, try completely soaking the suction cup in hot water to soften the rubber. After soaking, dry the suction cup with a paper towel before installing it.

Additionally, before attaching the suction cup mount, ensure both the mount and the glass surface are clean. During installation, press out as much air as possible from the inside of the suction cup hook. The less air inside, the better the suction and the more effective the mount will be.
